This Decadent Delight Can’t be Beat!
Daddy O’Brien’s Irish Ice Cream Pub is my new favorite place to go when I can’t decide whether I want to have drinks with friends or a cool dessert. Why? Because they offer both in one tasty treat with their alcohol-infused ice cream.
Daddy O’Brien’s Irish Ice Cream Pub is a cozy and comfortable pub located at 5910 Suwanee Dam Road in Sugar Hill. Take a seat at their gorgeous wood bar or sit back and relax in a church pew at one of their booths. Daddy O’Brien’s is the perfect destination when you need a cold one after a long day.
I’m in love with their Drunken Oreo ice cream. It’s made with Oreo cookies and whipped cream vodka. Another one of my favorites is their Butter Bourbon Pecan ice cream. It’s made by churning two butter pecan pies with a bottle of bourbon. If you’re in the mood for something without alcohol, don’t worry. Half of the 100+ flavors have non alcoholic options.
Daddy O’Brien’s has won numerous awards. Within the first five months of opening, they won their first award at the National Ice Cream Retailers Association Convention with their Kentucky Salted Caramel ice cream. The following year they won third place in the nation with their Baileys Irish Pistachio ice cream. In 2016, Daddy O’Brien’s won first place with their Butter Beer ice cream.
Since opening, Daddy O’Brien’s has won multiple red and blue ribbons and was voted “Best of Gwinnett 2018.” In the last year, Daddy O’Brien was given the title as “Grand Master Ice Cream Maker.”
If you’re hungry for more than just ice cream, Daddy O’Brien’s Irish Ice Cream Pub also offers an array of Irish fare. Be sure to try some of their specialties, including shepherd’s pie, chicken salad, homemade Belgium waffles, and bangers and mash.
